Dear Parents,  
Form 3 pupils will be going to Parque da Pasteleira on Tuesday, 30^th June as a part of their end of year celebration. The pupils will leave school at 9:30am and return at 3:00pm. The trip will involve fun, games and a picnic lunch. There is no cost for the trip but pupils will need to bring a packed lunch with them. They may also bring up to €5 for an ice-cream. Pupils will need to wear their P.E. kit, including a hat and put on some sun cream.
If you would NOT like your child to take part in this trip please email Mrs Jones (Adi.Jones@obs.edu.pt) or Mrs Costello (Lesley.Costello@obs.edu.pt) before Friday 26^th June.

Exam dates

The week of 25th - 28th are KS2 Exams. Please ensure that your child arrives to school on time as the tests will begin first thing in the morning.

End of year exams will be sat for English, Maths, Science and Portuguese. Other subjects will be teacher assessed.

Reminder : Chocolate Factory Visit.

Form 3 Trip to Chocolate Factory and Science Museum

Dear Parents,

I am pleased to inform you that we have been able to organise an educational visit to a chocolate factory and science museum in Vila do Conde. This visit is designed to complement our Science topics of ‘solids, liquids and gases’ and ‘humans and animals,’ and will provide a range of learning opportunities. We have been preparing for the visit in class and will be completing follow up work to ensure the experience is a beneficial as possible.

The trip will take place on Friday 15^th of May. We will leave school promptly at 9:00am so please ensure your child arrives at school on time. We will travel to and from Vila do Conde by coach. We anticipate returning to school before 3:30pm.

Children need to come to school wearing school uniform, including a jumper and sun hat. It is essential due to the factory regulations that all children DO NOT wear earrings or any other jewellery (including watches) on that day. They should bring with them a snack for mid morning, a packed lunch and plenty of drinking water.

The cost of the trip is XXXXX, which includes coach travel and entrance fees. This will be added to your next school bill.

Please complete the slip below and return it to your child’s teacher no later than Friday 8^th May. If you have any questions don’t hesitate to contact us.

Last week saw us given the cup for the Best Class for good behaviour and straight lining up for the school monitors. We were very proud and went out for a class photo to commemorate a Very Special achievement for everyone!

We were very excited to visit the zoo in Gaia. We had lots of fun and got lots of information too, that we will be using in our new science topic Habitat.

The weather forecast for tomorrow looks fine, so it’s off to the zoo we go!!

Please remember to bring a healthy snack for morning break and a packed lunch including a boxed drinks or bottles of water.

We ask that you do not bring drinks in cans or glass bottles for safety reasons, and no fizzy drinks.

We need to wear our school uniform and bring a light jacket to keep out the chilly weather.

You are allowed to bring a camera to take photographs at the zoo, if you wish, but if possible just a camera and not a mobile telephone with a camera. It is your own responibility to look after the camera.

We are all looking forward to having some fun at the zoo and learning about lots of different animals.

P.E Routine

Just a small reminder that, as part of our routine in Form 3, the children are expected to bring their uniform to change into after P.E. Thank you.

Visit to the beach

Last Friday we visited the beach in Foz.

We were looking for animal life that don't have the same type of skeleton as us.

We found a couple of crabs, muscles, clams and barnacles.
